These Terms apply to all users, including clients, collaborators, renters, and site visitors.

1. Services Overview
Origin Story Studio Ltd. provides the following services:

Event Photography: On-location documentation of events, galas, conferences, and special occasions.

Portrait Booth Experiences: A mobile studio offering styled portraiture with professional lighting and backdrops.

Studio Rentals: Access to our physical studio space for photography, videography, or content creation purposes.

Each service may have additional terms and agreements, including contracts or invoices, which supplement this Terms of Use.

2. Intellectual Property
All images, video, branding, website content, and creative work produced by or on behalf of Origin Story Studio Ltd. are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we retain full ownership and usage rights to all materials created, with limited usage rights granted to clients for personal or commercial use as outlined in service agreements.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or modification of our work without written permission is strictly prohibited.

3. Booking & Payments
All bookings are subject to availability and require a signed agreement or invoice acceptance. A non-refundable retainer may be required to secure your date.

Photography Services & Portrait Booth: Full payment is typically due before or on the day of the event unless otherwise arranged.

Studio Rentals: Payment is required in advance to confirm bookings.

Late payments may result in cancellation, delay of deliverables, or additional fees.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. Please review your service agreement for specific cancellation and rescheduling policies.

In general:

Portrait Booth & Event Photography: Cancellations within 30 days of the event may result in forfeiture of retainers or fees already paid.

Studio Rentals: Cancellations within 72 hours may be non-refundable.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to emergencies, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Client Conduct
Clients, guests, and renters are expected to behave respectfully on-site and during sessions. Any inappropriate behavior—including abuse of staff, misuse of equipment, or violation of safety rules—may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

6. Use of Studio Space
Studio renters must comply with posted rules, rental agreements, and safety guidelines. Renters are responsible for:

Returning the space in its original condition

Damages caused during the rental

Ensuring all guests follow studio rules

Origin Story Studio Ltd. is not liable for any lost or stolen items during your rental period.

7. Privacy & Media Release
By booking with us or entering the studio, you consent to the use of behind-the-scenes or non-identifying content for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Online Store & Digital Downloads
If you purchase images, prints, or digital downloads through our galleries or shop:

You are granted a limited license for personal use unless otherwise stated.

Resale, commercial use, or redistribution is prohibited unless explicitly licensed.

All sales are final unless a technical error occurs.

9. Limitation of Liability
Origin Story Studio Ltd. shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or facilities, including delays, technical failures, or lost data. Maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of those updates.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Edmonton, Alberta.

12. Advertising & Analytics

This website uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to collect data about user behavior for advertising and analytics purposes. The Pixel allows us to understand how users interact with our content, track conversions, and create custom audiences for targeted advertising.
